BRAND VALUES

Fine Jewellery with Japanese Elegance and Italian Craftsmanship

MIYOCO is a sustainable fine jewellery brand that transforms poetry, memories, and the quiet beauty of nature into timeless treasures.

My journey as a designer began at 13. Every MIYOCO piece starts as a hand-drawn sketch—capturing a fleeting moment I never want to forget—and is brought to life with precision through 3D CAD design.

Each jewel is then shaped by my husband, a master artisan in Valenza, whose hands understand the silent stories within every design. Together, we merge the soul of Italian craftsmanship with the refined elegance of Japanese aesthetics to create jewelry that resonates on a deeper level.

I design for women who embody elegance, grace, and a deep respect for nature—women who find beauty in stillness and meaning in details.

MIYOCO is a quiet celebration of the moments that make life shine, handcrafted in Valenza and guided by the values of artistry, sustainability, and storytelling.

INSPIRATIONS

Nature's Beauty and Your Harmonious Lifestyle

My inspiration begins with nature’s quiet poetry—sunlight on leaves, the rhythm of waves, a breeze through flowers.
Just like Monet captured fleeting light and Laurencin painted feminine grace, I translate delicate emotions and memories into wearable art.
Each jewel is a small landscape, a whisper of beauty you carry with you.
Created for those who seek harmony, tenderness, and elegance in everyday life.

Why Italian Fine Jewellery?

Crafting a Beautiful World for Future Generations

I once worked in Tokyo’s fashion industry, where trends moved fast and waste piled up even faster.
At some point, I felt it deep in my heart—this can’t be the way. I needed to create in a way that meant something, something that would last.

That journey brought me to Valenza, Italy—a town known for its long-standing tradition of fine jewellery.
At first glance, it might seem like a slower world, but in truth, the pace is intense.
Artisans here are meticulous, almost obsessive. They work quickly, but with an eye for perfection—polishing even the hidden parts of a piece no one may ever see.

If something isn’t just right, they start over. Not because it’s easy, but because it matters.
This spirit—the dedication to invisible beauty, the refusal to cut corners—is what drew me in.

MIYOCO was born from this contrast. From the chaos of fast fashion to the harmony of timeless design.
I wanted to create jewellery that honors craftsmanship, values time, and carries meaning—for generations to come.

Japanese Elegance and the Rhythm of Wabi-Sabi

For me, design is about transformation—turning your needs into beautiful forms that captivate from every angle. I infuse Tokyo’s “IKI” style into each piece, crafting an effortlessly elegant and chic aesthetic.

I also draw inspiration from Wabi-Sabi, a philosophy that finds beauty in imperfection. This rhythm of nature is reflected in my designs, creating jewelry that feels both timeless and alive, blending simplicity with sophistication.

A Shared Dream, Reimagined as My Own

MIYOCO’s story didn’t begin with a solo dream — it began with a shared vision.
When I moved to Tallinn, I was supporting my husband and his friend in building their jewellery brand, Lo Coco & Kubpart. I poured in my years of design experience, creative direction, and a quiet devotion to detail.

But when they decided to part ways, I was left with a choice:
Let the vision fade — or reshape it into something deeply my own.

And so, MIYOCO was born.

Rooted in Valenza’s goldsmith traditions, shaped by Tokyo’s refined sensibility, and softened by Tallinn’s stillness and light, my designs carry the quiet strength of those three cities.
I don’t chase trends. I create timeless forms — modern today, and still meaningful decades from now. Jewellery that lives with you, and grows with your story.

Your Designer and Storyteller

Miyo Amawa

My journey began at Joshibi, an art-focused school in Japan, where I studied from junior high through university. There, I discovered the joy of expressing emotion through form — a sensibility that continues to shape my jewellery design today.

After a short jewellery course in Florence, I worked as a designer for an accessory brand under a major Tokyo jewellery house. But while I could design trend-aligned collections, I lacked the skills to bring fine jewellery to life. That realization led me to Valenza, where I immersed myself in craftsmanship — learning at the bench, earning my goldsmith qualification from the Vincenzo Melchiorre Goldsmith School in the Piedmont Region, and creating 3D CAD models for maisons like Damiani.

Later, in Tallinn, I served as Creative Director and bespoke designer for Lo Coco & Kubpart, where I deepened my connection to private clients and their personal stories.

When my daughter turned four, I finally carved out time to refine my vision — becoming a certified PAD Jewellery Designer to strengthen how I communicate ideas with precision and emotion.

Through MIYOCO, I now unite Japanese elegance, Italian artistry, and timeless storytelling — so your jewellery becomes more than adornment. It becomes a memory you can wear.

Calogero Lo Coco

italian master goldsmith Calogero Lo Coco

“I create to satisfy my own pleasure — and through unique pieces, I can also bring joy to those who cannot make them themselves.”

Calogero — my husband, my collaborator, and a master goldsmith — is the artisan behind every MIYOCO jewel.

From his independent atelier, JUNONE, in the heart of Valenza, he transforms gold and gemstones into wearable poetry.

Driven by an inner joy, he once told me:
“I create to satisfy my own pleasure — and through unique pieces, I can also bring joy to those who cannot make them themselves.”

It’s not about trends or fame. It’s about the intimate pleasure of crafting something truly one-of-a-kind — something that whispers of care, mastery, and soul.

He is drawn to gold and diamonds, not just for their value, but for the way they call to him — materials that speak in silence.

Guided by this deep connection, he works with meticulous devotion. He finishes even the hidden parts with perfection, reworking them if needed, regardless of cost or time. This spirit is the opposite of fast fashion — here, speed is never the goal. Excellence is.

Together, we create jewellery that carries more than beauty.
It carries a story — ours, yours, and the timeless dialogue between hands and heart.
