Our Story
MIYOCO is a sustainable fine jewellery brand inspired by poetry, memory, and the quiet beauty of nature.
Where Japanese Sensibility Meets Italian Artistry
There are moments in life that never fade—
the glow after the rain, a quiet walk by the sea, a smile that lingers in memory.
I began creating jewellery to preserve such fragments of poetry and emotion.
Every MIYOCO piece begins with a hand-drawn sketch, capturing a feeling I want to hold onto.
Through meticulous 3D design, these sketches gain clarity and life.
They are then shaped by my husband, a master artisan in Valenza, whose hands understand the quiet story within each design.
Together, we merge the precision of Japanese sensibility with the excellence of Italian craftsmanship,
creating jewellery with a quiet elegance—natural, thoughtful, and touched by a gentle sense of play.
Nature’s Poetry and a Life of Quiet Harmony
My inspiration comes from the quiet poetry of nature—
sunlight filtering through leaves, the rhythm of waves, the gentle breeze that moves a single flower.
Like Monet capturing fleeting light or Marie Laurencin expressing feminine grace,
I am drawn to conveying delicate emotions, memories, and landscapes through my hands.
Instead of paint and canvas, I ultimately found my medium in gold and gemstones.
Jewellery—where fashion, sculpture, craft, and design come together—became the most honest way to express my world.
And knowing that these pieces accompany women of quiet strength and effortless elegance brings me a joy beyond measure.
A Shared Dream, Reimagined as My Own
MIYOCO’s story didn’t begin with a solo dream — it began with a shared vision.
When I moved to Tallinn, I was supporting my husband and his friend in building their jewellery brand, Lo Coco & Kubpart. I poured in my years of design experience, creative direction, and a quiet devotion to detail.
But when they decided to part ways, I was left with a choice:
Let the vision fade — or reshape it into something deeply my own.
And so, MIYOCO was born.
Rooted in Valenza’s goldsmith traditions, shaped by Tokyo’s refined sensibility, and softened by Tallinn’s stillness and light, my designs carry the quiet strength of those three cities.
I don’t chase trends. I create timeless forms — modern today, and still meaningful decades from now. Jewellery that lives with you, and grows with your story.
Why Italian Fine Jewellery?
Crafting a Beautiful World for Future Generations
I once worked in Tokyo’s fashion industry, where trends moved fast and waste piled up even faster.
At some point, I felt it deep in my heart—this can’t be the way. I needed to create in a way that meant something, something that would last.
That journey brought me to Valenza, Italy—a town known for its long-standing tradition of fine jewellery.
At first glance, it might seem like a slower world, but in truth, the pace is intense.
Artisans here are meticulous, almost obsessive. They work quickly, but with an eye for perfection—polishing even the hidden parts of a piece no one may ever see.
If something isn’t just right, they start over. Not because it’s easy, but because it matters.
This spirit—the dedication to invisible beauty, the refusal to cut corners—is what drew me in.
MIYOCO was born from this contrast. From the chaos of fast fashion to the harmony of timeless design.
I wanted to create jewellery that honors craftsmanship, values time, and carries meaning—for generations to come.
Meet Miyo
I am Miyo, founder and designer of MIYOCO. I direct each collection and bespoke piece from concept to 3D design, shaping every model with care and precision.
My journey to fine jewellery began in Japan, where I studied art for ten years. A summer program in Florence sparked my passion for metalwork, leaving me eager to return and deepen my craft.
After working as a designer in Tokyo, I realized that to truly bring fine jewellery to life, I needed hands-on training. That led me to Valenza, Italy, where I immersed myself in traditional goldsmithing, earning my qualification and learning from master artisans.
Through MIYOCO, I now unite Japanese elegance, Italian artistry, and timeless storytelling — creating jewellery that becomes more than adornment. It becomes a memory you can wear.
Japanese Elegance and the Rhythm of Natural Flow
For me, design is about transformation—shaping your needs into forms that captivate from every angle. I infuse Tokyo’s “IKI” spirit into each piece, creating an effortlessly elegant and quietly confident aesthetic.
I design with a sense of natural flow. Rather than arranging diamonds or elements in perfect symmetry, I follow the movement of air, water, and light—allowing each piece to feel as if it is gently dancing, flowing, or breathing. This approach gives the jewellery a quiet vitality and subtle emotion, blending simplicity with sophistication while remaining timeless.
Through this balance of elegance, natural rhythm, and subtle playfulness, each MIYOCO creation carries a sense of life—crafted to be intimately experienced, quietly admired, and cherished over time.

Meet Calogero
“I create to satisfy my own pleasure — and through unique pieces, I can also bring joy to those who cannot make them themselves.”
Calogero — my husband, my collaborator, and a master goldsmith — is the artisan behind every MIYOCO jewel.
From his independent atelier, JUNONE, in the heart of Valenza, he transforms gold and gemstones into wearable poetry.
Driven by an inner joy, he once told me:
“I create to satisfy my own pleasure — and through unique pieces, I can also bring joy to those who cannot make them themselves.”
It’s not about trends or fame. It’s about the intimate pleasure of crafting something truly one-of-a-kind — something that whispers of care, mastery, and soul.
He is drawn to gold and diamonds, not just for their value, but for the way they call to him — materials that speak in silence.
Guided by this deep connection, he works with meticulous devotion. He finishes even the hidden parts with perfection, reworking them if needed, regardless of cost or time. This spirit is the opposite of fast fashion — here, speed is never the goal. Excellence is.
Together, we create jewellery that carries more than beauty.
It carries a story — ours, yours, and the timeless dialogue between hands and heart.
